HI, I'M IVA
Photography has always been a part of my life. My father, deeply passionate about photography, worked in the photo industry, and his love for the craft influenced our family in many ways. Though a chemistry engineer by profession, photography was his true passion. He convinced my mother, a biochemist in the medical field, to leave her job and join him in opening a photo studio.
I never imagined photography would become my calling, but life had different plans. When my father fell ill and passed away while I was still at university, I took over his photo materials wholesale business and the photo studio my parents had started. I bought a new digital machine for photo development, which was incredibly expensive at the time. To finance it, we expanded our work and started focusing on wedding photography. That’s where the journey truly began—and from that moment on, I was hooked. I also brought my then-boyfriend, now husband, Marko, into the business as a videographer, and together we founded IMage Studio (his name is Marko, which is why "IM" is capitalized, like Iva & Marko).
Weddings have always been a passion of mine, and I still love shooting them today. They are joyful occasions filled with emotions. However, since many of the weddings I photograph are abroad or along the coast, I now take on fewer, as balancing weekend weddings with my three children and a dog is a challenge I don’t want to compromise on. I want to be present for my family, so I now take on weddings in a smaller capacity. (If you’re interested, you can check out my wedding photography work at @imagestudio.wedding.)
In addition to weddings, I have a deep love for family photography—capturing the joy of children, the love between families, and those sweet moments with newborns. Those tiny little feet are my absolute favorite! (You can see more of my family photography on @imagestudio.family.)
With a degree in economics, I’ve combined entrepreneurship with my love for photography, blending all my passions. Today, I balance my work as a photographer, business owner, mom, and wife—with joy, even if sometimes living life by the minute. I’m not just a photographer; I’m also an entrepreneur, creating visuals that capture not only memories but also stories, emotions, and moments that matter most.
